KLINGER METAL COMPENSATOR
Klinger metal Expansion joints is a flexible device that absorbs mainly axial, lateral and angular movements.
Axial movement:
Longitudinal movement along the axis of the pipe – either extension or compression.
Expansion joints for thermal expansion or contraction in straight pipe sections
Angular movement:
Rotation or bending of the pipe, where one end moves at an angle to the other.
Expansion joints for bends or angular displacements in the pipe system.
Lateral movement:
Lateral displacement perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pipe.
Handling movement in systems with angles or lateral displacements.
Expansion joints can also be used to absorb vibrations in pipe systems. They are manufactured with thin, multi-layer bellows that provide very good vibration damping properties. This construction effectively helps to reduce high-frequency vibrations with low amplitude. Although vibration dampers are most often supplied with flange connections, they are also available with welded connections.
Expansion joints are designed according to the latest EJMA standards and can be supplied with additional equipment such as Tie Rods or Control Rods, Inner Sleeve, Reinforcing Rings or Leak Detector
